Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING POLICY

All shipments will be made via UPS. A physical address must be provided where the party receiving the shipment can be reached during the week. UPS will not deliver to a post office box. Theiss Sausage Co. puts forth every effort to ship orders on a timely basis.

For orders that do not include perishable items, we will ship your order on the next business day. In the event that perishable items are included in your order, we can only ship on Monday or Tuesday in order to avoid these items sitting in UPS warehouses over the weekend. Please allow up to seven days for delivery during holiday seasons.

At our sole discretion, some non-perishable items (such as beef jerky and other products) may only be shipped out only on Mondays or Tuesdays during the summer months because the quality of the items could degrade if they are left in hot warehouses for extended periods of time. These items are not perishable and can still be shipped via UPS Ground regardless of your location, but we feel that the customer's satisfaction is best served by a fresh product.

You will select your shipping options at checkout. If perishable items are included in your order, you must select a shipping option for up to a maximum of two business days in transit leaving from our central Texas location either Monday or Tuesday.

You can get a good idea of the UPS Ground transit time by clicking here to see a map generated by UPS. If your order contains perishable items and the UPS Ground transit time is more than two days, you should choose UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air at checkout.

All perishable products are frozen before shipping. The items received may have thawed slightly during shipment. Place the products in the refrigerator (for up to 5-6 days) or freezer if not using immediately. Please also store jerky in the refrigerator or freezer, as it has a tendency to mold when left out for long periods of time.

Note: All orders are reviewed based upon product mix and days in transit, and if UPS Ground is chosen by mistake for perishable products when UPS 2nd Day Air should have been chosen, we will need to contact you and update your order with the correct shipping method. This will cause a delay in the shipment of your order, so please be sure to choose the correct shipping method when you place your order.

RETURNS POLICY

While we want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase from the Theiss Sausage Co. online store, we cannot accept a return on any food product once it has been opened.

If the item was lost or damaged in transit, then you must contact UPS to report a Lost or Damaged Package claim. For more information, please see the Claims Help section of the UPS website.

Theiss Sausage Co. can custom slaughter your domestic hogs and process your wild hogs. We pride ourselves on our old fashioned processing using no binders or fillers. From our handmade jerky to our hard wood smoked sausage, it is all made with homemade tender loving care. We are proud to offer our clients custom processing with a large variety of processing options available. Anything we sell in our store can be made out of your animal. From our cured and smoked bacon and hams to our old fashioned hard wood smoked sausage, we make it all here. We are very particular about the handling of our clients orders. We do not mix orders. Each animal is tagged carefully and all orders are processed individually so our customers can rest assured that the animal they bring will be the animal they receive.

There will be a $10.00 charge for orders with 3 or more varieties of trimmings.  Effective November 1, 2007.

10lb. batch minimum on Dry Sausage, Snack Sticks & Summer Sausage.

15lb. batch minimum on all sausages.

All steaks are double wrapped for the freezer. All smoked meats are vacuum packed.

All prices subject to change.

Deposit due upon drop off

Orders not picked up within 15 days will be subject to a $15.00/week holding fee. After 30 days it will be sold for charges.  Deposits are non refundable.

We do not mix orders.  Each animal is tagged carefully and all orders are processed individually, so the product you receive is always your meat.
